William James Wilson, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Bill served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a devoted sports enthusiast, always cheering for his favorite teams.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Lynn Wilson (Hobbs), and his two daughters, Amy Wilson Waters (Andrew) and Kristen Wilson Joels (Charles). He was a proud grandfather to Hayden Waters, Talia Joels, and Matilda Joels. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William James Wilson, Sr. and Maryon Morgan Wilson and sister Lois Fisher (Wilson).

A graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19th. Please arrive 15 minutes early and line up at the office at 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Chattanooga Humane Society.

William's legacy of love, service, and passion for sports will be cherished by all who knew him.
