Obituary

Ross Wilson

William "Ross" Wilson, 32, of Chattanooga, chose to depart this life on Monday,  January 4, 2021.

Born in Chattanooga, Ross worked as a delivery driver for Evans Lumber Company for many years and thoroughly enjoyed his job, for Ross loved the open road, and did not like being tied down. Ross had great rapport with his delivery customers, and they appreciated his helpful attitude. After Ross was badly injured in a forklift accident in May 2019, his boss, Chip Rennick, many of his customers, as well as family and friends rallied around him during a long recovery.

Ross attended CSAS and Chattanooga Christian School. He loved going to school, mostly because of the social aspect and sports, especially soccer and basketball. Ross also loved climbing after school with his mentor, Daniel Vogt. He was all boy.

Ross's passion was soccer, watching and playing. He played select soccer on the Assault team for several years in his youth. In his adult life, he played for an adult soccer league, The Chattanooga Herd, and loved every minute of it.

Ross was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Grace Henry, his grandparents, Betty and Jim McMahon and Margaret "Granny"Wilson, and his best friend, Brandon Bodiford.

Ross leaves behind his mother, Gina Wilson, his father, Bill Wilson, his sisters, Zoey and Tye Wilson, many cousins, uncles, aunts, and longtime friends, by whom he will be terribly missed.

Ross was not a flowers guy, but he loved animals, especially his beloved kitty, Layla.  In lieu of flowers, in remembrance of him, please make a donation to www.heschatt.org .

The family will have a visitation on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.
