Mr. William J. Love (Bill), 88, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 24 ^th 2022.

Bill was born on October 13, 1933 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late William and Bertha Love.

He moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee at a young age. He drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for many years and then became the owner of his own 18 wheeler, driving over a million, accident free, miles. He enjoyed being on the road visiting every state in the U.S. He loved playing golf, poker and dominoes. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; William and Bertha Love; Siblings; Willie Mae, Lillian, and Jeanette; Son, William Daniel.

Bill is survived by his wife; Joyce Benton Love; Children, Angela and Steve; Grandchildren; Jason, Tara and Beth. Great-Grandchildren;Taylor, Savannah, Isaiah, McKinley, Matthew, Annalyn, Max, Malaya and Martina.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Steve Love, Jason Thurmond, Taylor Thurmond, Vernon Thurmond, Anthony Shell, and Josh Long.
