Other than a few years spent working at the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant, Mom spent most of her life working in the Restaurant Industry in the 1960's, 70's and 80's. Everything from Waitressing, Hosting, and Asst. Manager positions, anything that needed doing, she did it all, for local restaurants at the time such as Mr. Steak and Mama Teresa's / Papa Caesars.

Graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Hwy 153 on Tuesday October 5 th at 11:00am. Pastor Ronnie Smith will direct the service. Due to the Covid pandemic, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Because Mom tried to do everything she could to protect herself and her family from Covid, she said "I feel like I have lived in a bubble for over a year and a half, only to have cancer come and take me out". At her request, Masks and social distancing would be greatly appreciated. Please refrain from hugs and handshakes. This is difficult for her family and for everyone, but the last thing Mom would want to happen would be someone getting sick because of a gathering like this for her. Thank you for your understanding.

Since we are unable to have a true Funeral Home service for Mom, in lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to a family in need that you may know of, or to a charity of your choice. The Family would like to say a special thank you to staff at Hospice of Chattanooga, Dayton Branch, the office staff, and their entire Nursing staff, especially McKenzie.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike. (423) 531-3975
