Steven William Spencer, 70, of Palmer Lake, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in a health care facility in Chattanooga, TN.

Steve grew up in southern California and developed a deep passion for sports.  As an adult he moved to Colorado, where he married his wife.  He enjoyed camping and off-roading in the Rocky Mountains.  He was always looking forward to the next trip with his family and being able to travel with them.  Steve spent most of his working life with the natural gas utility company in the Tri-Lakes region. He developed an extensive network with the service providers and a wide array of friendships in the community.  Steve put his faith in Jesus as his personal savior and regularly attended Generations Bible Church in Franktown, Colorado.

He is preceded in death by his mother & father.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Soni Spencer, two sons, Daniel Spencer, Grand Junction, CO;  Ryan (Sarah) Spencer, Hixson, TN;  daughter, Tonya (Luke) Rackers, Montpelier, VT; two brothers, Jon (Natalia) Spencer, Greg (Wendy) Spencer, both of Roseburg, OR; grandson, Hunter Hatch, Grand Junction, CO; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 am at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson, TN

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN on Tuesday May 26 ^th at 11:00 am (EST).
