Shirley was an avid golfer, and was a long-time member of the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
In addition to her passion for golf, was her love for interior design. She opened Elizabeth Ryan Furniture Boutique, on the Chattanooga Northshore, in 2003. The years she spent assisting others with their homes brought her true joy.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. James Floyd Crawley, Jr; son, William "Billy" Patrick O'Brien III; sister, Mary Elizabeth Standefer; brother, Bobby Max Roberson.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Elizabeth O'Brien (Ryan Fuller) of Chattanooga, TN; her sister, Alya Dean Kanuckel of Crossville, TN; her brother, Lavens Clay Roberson of Pikeville, TN; her grandaughters, Mary Taylor Frisbee (Gary) of Chattanooga, TN; Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth Ray of Nashville, TN; Mary "Molly" Catherine Ray of Nashville, TN; great grandaughters, Kaylee and Kennady; several nieces and nephews.
