Sarah Jean Ellis, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on February 17, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM  followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM with Teddy Ott officiating.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Charles Ellis, nephew Brandon Ellis, brothers-in-law Richard and Bobby Ellis, sisters Joy and Beth Mayes, great nephews Slader Ellis, Colt Ellis, great nieces Siara Ellis, McKinley Ellis, sisters-in-law Carolyn Mayes, and Louise Brookes, and lifelong friend Betty Ellis.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents John and Hazel Mayes, brother John Mayes Jr., sisters Diane and Bessie Mayes and nephew Josh Ellis.
