Sara Cole Garner, 87, of Hixson TN, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Born August 8, 1936 in Moultrie, GA to the late William and Ida Tucker Cole. Sara was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and an all-around loving caring person to all who knew her. She dedicated her life to making a home for the kids and as they became older; she became a professional trucker with her husband before retiring to raise her grandson.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, husband of sixty six years, Aubrey Taylor Garner JR., children, Randy and Bill Garner, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by her son, Larry, daughter, Joyce, sister, Myrtice, four grandchildren, Mike, Terry, Carey, and Robert and several niece and nephews.

Would like to thank Deanna Britton with Gentiva hospice and her friend who was her neighbor, hairdresser and care giver Miss Cindy.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 10am until funeral service time at 11am at Hamilton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, at 12:30pm.
