Ruth Elaine Raines, 67, a resident of Ringgold, GA, passed away March 23, 2024.

Born on March 15, 1957, Elaine was the daughter to the late Otto and Betty Varner. Elaine is also preceded in death by her first husband James Stephens.

Elaine was a woman of faith and devoted her life to the service of others through her work as an LPN and in the way she cared so lovingly for her family. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her two granddaughters, who she always said brought joy and sunshine into her life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include daughter, Kristina (Casey) Mullis; granddaughters, Madison and Emalyn; daughter, Kimberly Raines; brother, Gary (Cathy) Varner; former husband and close friend, James Raines; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Pettingill officiating, with interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
