Ruby Mae Harvey of Hixson, TN, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2026 at the age of 82. She was born on March 7, 1943 to Otis Kirby & Ella Mae Phillips-Kirby in Pisgah, AL.

Ruby married James Arley Harvey and together they shared many wonderful years and raised 8 children. She was of Church of God faith, and enjoyed spending time with family, singing in church, and gardening. Ruby was known for her happy and vibrant personality, spreading love everywhere she went. She worked in manufacturing and retired from Canon Equipment.

Ruby is survived by siblings, Brenda Kirby, Judy Kirby, Ed Kirby, Jerry Kirby, and children, Angela Carter & husband Wayne Carter, Kathy Freeman, Leeroy Harvey & wife Sue Harvey, Patricia Aaron, and Larry Harvey as well as many grand children, great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ruby are parents Otis Kirby and Ella Mae Kirby, husband James Arley Harvey, siblings Wilma Belcher, Barbara Gas, Betty Fae Evans, Bill Kirby, Harold Kirby, David Kirby, and children Charles Harvey, Stevie Harvey, and Cricket Purlee.

Visitation will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10am until funeral service time at 2pm. Burial will be held at Levi Cemetery following services.
