Ronald (Ron) Rowland, 89, entered his Heavenly Home July 11, 2026.

Ron was born February 20, 1937 in Beloit, WI to Lauren and Hazel Rowland who preceded him in death. Ron was raised and educated in Rockford, IL. He served 6 years in the USMC Reserves. Ron married the love of his life, Carole (Hines) of South Bend, IN. Their 65 year marriage was filled with fun, frivolity, and friends as they worked and traveled the world while raising three children.

Ron spent his working years as a Manufacturer's Agent in the carpet industry. Upon retirement, Ron became "Mr. Volunteer", dedicating many hours to SCORE, CHI Memorial Hospital, Hunter Museum, Hamilton County Courthouse, and Chattanooga Airport. Ron was a member of First Presbyterian Church Chattanooga.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Brett Rowland and a daughter, Lori Barrett.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; son, Brad (Becca) of Franklin, TN; daughter, Andrea Beattie (Shawn) of Richmond, VA; sister, Judi Sola (Dan) of Rockford, IL; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will gather for a private celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any gifts be directed Alzheimer's Association.
