Ronald Van Hoback, 71, of Hixson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ronald graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School in 1967 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He worked for Dupont, TVA and later was an insurance salesman.

He was a devout Christian and loved his Lord and Savior and his family with all his heart.  He enjoyed bass fishing and family time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Virshel Hoback and Rosebud Gravitt Hoback, grandparents, Levi & Minnie McJunkin Hoback and Henry & Hattie Sneed Gravitt, brother & sister-in-law, Carlos & Josie Ann Hoback, sister & brother-in-law, Shelby Jean & J.B. Penney.

Survivors include his loving wife & best friend of 39 years, Kathryne Moss Hoback, daughter, Karen (Curtis) Settles, granddaughter, Haley Settles, grandsons, Bryce & Brent Settles, several nieces & nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Brother Richard Floyd officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 12:30 P.M. Thursday  at the funeral home.
