It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Ronald D. Davis, 74, announces his passing on October 30, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Born on Dec. 23, 1949, to AJ and Nellie (Taylor) Davis. He was a 1963 graduate of Kirkman High School and an Army veteran. He was the owner of Ron Davis Trucking and leased to Ellis Trucking for decades.

He loved his Easter family, friends and whoever wanted to come gatherings. He had the biggest smile and would do anything for anyone. His son called him a rock star because he wasn't a stranger to anyone and was so friendly to everyone. He was so loved and will be missed by us all.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, AJ and Nellie Davis, sisters, Barbara Thomas, Debbie Johnson, Charlotte and Caroline Davis, and his beloved grandson, Brandon Nelson.

He is survived by his wife, Malissa Davis; stepmother, Ernestine Davis Knox; daughters, Jennifer (David) Nelson, Katie (Hector) Fulgueira, Bridget Cahoon; sons, Stacey (Beth) Davis and Eric (Ann) Demars; bonus daughter, Jackie Dudley; two granddaughters, Allyson Davis and Tiana Fulgueira; nine grandsons, Adriel Fulgueira, Bradley and Benton Nelson, Cooper and Calvin Demars, Jackson, Mason, Emerson, Wrangler; sisters, Judy Moncier, Doris (John) Price; brothers, James (Kit) Davis, Tommy (Sheila) Davis, Ralph (Andy) Davis; and so many beloved nieces and nephews; best friends, Mark, Phil, Albert, Alabama, and Rock.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Chattanooga Memorial Park with military honors with Minister Leroy Webb officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, The American Lung Association or to a charity close to your heart.
