U. S. Army LTC (Retired) Robert "Bob" Marsh passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026.  He was 91 years old.

Bob grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson where he attended High School and eventually graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in 1956. He was active in music and athletics his entire life. After college, he chose a military career with the U.S. Army, retiring after 21 years of service. Following his military retirement, Bob attended North Carolina State University and subsequently pursued a second career in Education.  He taught at East Carolina State University, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and at Chattanooga State Community College. Bob enjoyed teaching math, research subjects and doing research studies, some of which were published in professional journals.  He was a Charter member of the Chattanooga Choral Arts Society and sang in choirs and groups for over 70 years.  Bob was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Marsh; sons, Robert H. Marsh, Gary Marsh and Paul Marsh; daughter, Susan (Pete) Dalton.

Per Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services held.  A private service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
