Rita Arnold Travis, 89, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022.

Mrs. Travis had made her home in Chattanooga for the past 55 years and attended Lupton Drive Baptist Church.

Rita was a member of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine and the past high priestess 1994 and 1995 of the Asabi Court No. 36.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and May Delaney; husband, Floyd Travis, Jr.; daughter, Valerie Reynolds; sister, Joyce Martin; niece, Evelyn Logue.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Reynolds and Steve (Nina) Reynolds; grandchildren, Shane Reynolds and Kobea Reynolds, great grandchildren Wyatt and Wesley Reynolds, Olivia, Micka and Cami Foster.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.

Mrs. Rita will be laid to rest at the Piney Cemetery in Oakdale, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Bro. Roger DeHart.
