Obituary

Paul Nelson Tallent went to be with the Lord on 6/21/2020 at the age of 76.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and National Guard of Tennessee, where he retired after 24 years of active service as a Sergeant E5. Paul was also a member of Melville Baptist Church, the Red Bank Masonic Lodge, and a Shriner of the Alhambra Temple of Chattanooga.

Paul will be lovingly missed by his two daughters, Paula (Steve) Keylon Sr. and Marsha Tallent, his grandchildren Stephen Keylon Jr., Andrew Youngs, Terra (Josh) Little, and Maygan (James) Marcelo, his great-grandchildren, Wynter, Tobias, and Lillian, his brothers, Bill Tallent, Henry Tallent, and John Tallent, his sisters, Frankie Ruchert and Patsy Vail, as well as many nieces and nephews that love him dearly.

Paul will be joining loved ones at the gates of Heaven, as he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Armeda (Pritchett) Tallent, his parents, Fred N. Tallent and Grace (Littleton) Tallent, his siblings, Jim Tallent, Mary Jo Givens, Peggy McGuire, Betty Caughron, his twin sister, Pauline Tallent, and his great-granddaughter, Amelia Little.

After retirement, Paul spent his time with family, dancing, making others laugh, and listening to his favorite music from the 1950s and 1960s. Paul's passion for family will be dearly missed as he would frequently reach out to family near and dear to his heart (which spread across the country).
