LOVE, LIGHT, AND EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL THAT IS AND WAS NICOLE PINKERTON SONG
Artist, naturalist, teacher, mother, wife, Nicole Pinkerton Song's life did not come to an end with her death. Nicole passed from this world on Friday, July 8 th , 2022, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, due to complications stemming from her courageous battle with cancer, but anyone who knew Nicole will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and enjoying the beauty and light in this earthly world. "No degree of darkness can extinguish the glow of a soul's inner light."
Born on April 3 rd , 1981 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Nicole is survived by husband, Mark, her two daughters, Stella (8), and Hope (4), her father, Jim Trudo and mother, Natalie Trudo.
Nicole excelled at everything she did; receiving a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design (2004), and then a Master's Degree of Education from UT Chattanooga (2010), she was able to practice two things she loved…art and teaching. She became an accomplished artist through her self-established company, The Vignette Co., and practiced her teaching with the Hamilton County School district, and most recently, a perfectly fitting position at The Wauhatchie Forest School. Nicole married her beloved husband, Mark Song, in 2013 and bore two beautiful young ladies who hold Nicole's strength, beauty and light within.
Nicole was a creative, active, loving person who spent much of her life thinking and caring for others. She surrounded herself with people who had the same energy, which allowed for such love to radiate anywhere she stood.
Viewing and Visitation will be held to honor Nicole's life on Thursday, July 14 th , 2022 from 4pm-7pm at Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at Rivermont Presbyterian Church in Hixson, TN on Friday, July 15 th , 2022. From 10am-11am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am.
