Obituary

Michael Bruce Diamond, 61, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence.

Michael was born January 5, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Nathaniel and Georgia Fay Diamond. He was a graduate of Tyner High School in Chattanooga, TN. Michael spent his working career driving tractor trailers, working in distribution, and recently in sales in the roofing industry.

Michael loved his family more than anything (buying fireworks for the 4 th of July was a close 2 nd ). He spent his down time working on cars, watching the History Channel, old cowboy movies and the same handful of action movies over and over on TV. He enjoyed spoiling his dogs (Brandy and Molly), going for drives, playing his guitars and having family over to grill out. He was an avid collector of anything he thought was interesting. He loved spending time with his grandkids and pretending like he didn't spoil them. He got joy out of seeing his grandkids happy and giving his kids a hard time about anything he could. Michael always took care of his family and even up until his final days made sure they never went without.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Nathaniel L. Diamond and mother, Georgia Fay Diamond.

Michael will be lovingly missed by his wife of 35 years Janet Neil Diamond, children Jason (Ashleigh) Neil Corey (Malisa) Diamond, and Hannah Diamond. 7 grandchildren, Mason, Liam, Jase, Kopper, Navy, Ren, and Neo. He also leaves behind a sister Lisa Diamond Smith and brother Brian (Susan) Diamond. Also, several nieces, a nephew, and a great nephew as well as several aunts and uncles.

There will be no service or visitation. The family would like to extend their thanks for all the phone calls, texts, and visits. They graciously request continued prayers through this tough time.
