Mary B. Carroll, age 91, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on October 7, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 11, 1928 in Huntsville, Alabama, the daughter of Marlin Gaston Buchanan and Ida Mae Damron Buchanan.

She was a faithful member of the Mountain Creek Church of Christ and the Eastern Star Society (in her younger days).  She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who loved her family. She was a fabulous cook and homemaker and could light up a room with her smile and laughter. She loved working in her flower beds and gardens throughout the years.  She was a hard worker all of her life and held various jobs with the American Lava, JC Penney's, TNT Chemical Plant, Walmart, Tivoli Theater and the Soldier's and Sailor's Memorial Auditorium as an Usher (because of her love in being around people) and continued to work up until age 87, when her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her husband (High School sweetheart and the love of her life) Charles Curtis Carroll who passed away on August 5, 1989.  She and her family are longtime residents of Chattanooga.  She was the last member of her family and was preceded in death by her Sisters – Dorothy Mae Robbins and Rita Eunice Smith and Brothers – Eugene Buchanan and Jerry Buchanan.

She is survived by her Sons, Wayne Carroll of Atlanta, GA; Bob Carroll of Fallingwater, TN (and his wife Darla); her daughter Mary F. Carroll of Chattanooga, TN.  Her greatest joy were her Grand-daughters (Becky and Holly) with honorary Grand-daughters (Jessie and Cindy). Her Great-Grandchildren (Asher and Emberly) and honorary (Autumn and Kenshin) along with several Nieces and Nephews and many cherished friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Mountain Creek Church of Christ with Ministers Gary Massey, Jr. and Kenneth G. Chambers officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you send your contributions to the Mountain Creek Church of Christ to be used in continuing the work of the Lord throughout her community and world- wide.
