Lawrence E. McClendon, 90, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2020 with his family by his side.

Lawrence was a member of the First Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from Rock – TN after several years of service.

He enjoyed being with his family, working in his garden, fishing an attending good old gospel singings at the barn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha McClendon; brother, Alvin McClendon.

Survivors include his son, Bobby (Karen) McClendon, grandchildren, Michael (Louise) McClendon, Kari (Michael) Moxley, Karen (Larry) Bowles, Samantha (Ryan) Hart, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin McClendon; sister, Claudia Livingston; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Due to Covid  Pandemic a private visitation will be held.

A public graveside service will be held on Thursday, October, 22, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery Highway 153 with Reverend Jon Weaver and Reverend Marvin McClendon officiating.

Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service at the cemetery, family request everyone to wear a mask.
