Laura Louise Nix, 46, of Dalton, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Laura was born on October 5, 1976, to Mary and Richard Thorne in Charlotte, North Carolina. She later moved to Chattanooga, TN, where she spent the majority of her life.

She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom as her two daughters grew up. Family and spending time together was the most important thing to Laura.

Outside of being a fantastic mother, daughter, sister, and girlfriend, she was a great cook and baker, a lover of all things Disney, and a talented artist.

Laura is survived by her two daughters, April (Jesse) Campanella, and Julie (Ezekiel) Hart, her grandchildren, Ava and Olivia Hart, parents, Richard and Mary Thorne, siblings, Paul and Lisa Thorne, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Laura's life at a later date.
