Kenneth Wesley Helton, Jr.

Kenneth Wesley "Wes" Helton, Jr., age 51, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath.

Wes was born in Chattanooga on February 26, 1975. He was a loving father, son, and brother. Who loved his son, Ben, dearly. He was a huge Vols fan—you could say his blood ran "BIG ORANGE"! He gave his life to Christ when he 16 years old. His family takes great comfort in knowing he is at peace with his Savior, and are deeply grateful for the daily Scriptures sent to Wes by his friend, Michael, which continually reminded him of how deeply he was loved by his Heavenly Father.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wesley Helton, Sr.; and his grandparents, Ben and Virginia Miller, and James Thomas Helton, Sr. and Sally Kate Dixon Helton.

Wes is survived by his beloved son, Ben Helton; his loving mother, Diane Helton; his sisters, Paula (Scott) Daves and Kate Helton; as well as many nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Our family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for all the love, prayers, and kind words offered on their behalf during this time; every message has meant so much.

Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday, September 21, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 PM in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home, located at 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343, officiated by Pastor Jordan Clark (nephew). Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery in Red Bank, TN with Elijah Daves (nephew), Nehemiah Daves (nephew), Josiah Daves (nephew), Cade Poe (cousin), Michael Mercer (friend), and Billy Ritchey (friend) serving as pallbearers.
