It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth L. Ficken, Sr.. Ken celebrated his 94th birthday on 8/9/2023.  Ken was the only child of Frederick N. Ficken and Katherine Driver Ficken. Ken was born and raised in North Chattanooga.  Ken served 3 years in the U.S. Navy.

In 1953 he met the love of his life, Bettye Ruth Jones Ficken, together they raised 4 children, Trudy, John (Debbie), Robin (Larry) and Kenny.   They have 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Ken was an entrepreneur from an early age and loved to help those who help themselves. His generosity was abundant; he shared life's lesson and sponsored several business partnerships throughout his life.

Ken had an adventurous spirit; in their retirement years Ken and Bettye traveled 7 continents, met many interesting people and saw some of the most beautiful sites in the world.

A private service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
