Obituary

Our loving Mom and Nana, Judy Worthington Dautrich, 87 went home to be with our Lord on Monday, July 29, 2024.

She was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late L.M. "Jack" Worthington and Margie Kirby Worthington. She grew up in North Chattanooga where she attended Northside Baptist Church. She graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1955 where she was a member of the City High Penguin Club whose focus was on community projects and local charities.

In her younger years, she worked part-time at Pickett's Clothing Store in Downtown Chattanooga where she discovered her love of fashion and the joy in helping others. Her attention to detail soon led her down a career path of bookkeeping and accounting opportunities. She took great pride in her profession and worked in the accounting industry until her retirement.

After retirement, she worked part-time at Lula's in Riverview, a clothing & accessory boutique. Her fashion sense, attention to detail and out-going personality helped her in assisting the customers she loved so much.

Her greatest joy was being full-time Nana to her only granddaughter, Sydney Lin Adcock.

Judy enjoyed drawing, listening to music from *NSYNC to Andrea Bocelli, shopping & reading her Bible; she was happiest spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Dolores W. Cooley and Bonnie M. Worthington, her nephew John M. Cooley and her girls' father, Charles L. Dautrich, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Dautrich Adcock (Bob), Lori Dautrich, her granddaughter, Sydney Lin Adcock, niece and nephew, Christine Cooley Vieth (George) and James H. Cooley, Jr (Janie).

On Friday, August 2nd a graveside service will be held at Chattanooga Memorial Park at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hamilton Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Bob Adcock, Sydney Lin Adcock and Scott Kennedy.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Erlanger ICU, Erlanger 7th floor and Hospice of Chattanooga for the incredible and compassionate care given to their Mom.

Contributions in Judy's memory may be made to: Pet Placement Center, Orange Grove Center and Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
