Joseph (Jo-Jo) DeMary, age 58, passed away peacefully at his home in Ringgold, GA on October 15, 2024, after a valiant battle with lung cancer.

Joe was born January 22, 1966, in Fairmount, West Virginia to Joseph Anthony DeMary & Laurelle Costello DeMary. He moved to Red Bank, Tennessee, in 1980, where he graduated from Red Bank High School, raised a loving family & began an impactful career. Joe was a dedicated firefighter for over 35 years in Red Bank, Tennessee & 5 years in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. He was also a firefighting instructor for TVA. On days he wasn't fighting fires, he was also employed at Action Air.

In September 2022, Joe happily married Beverly DeMary who remained faithfully by his side until his last moments. Besides servicing his community, Joe also had a passion for all things outdoor. He enjoyed spending time camping at Skull Island & traveling to Okaloosa Island with his wife. Joe was also an avid hunter and took to the woods of West Virginia when he could.

Joe is proceeded in death by his loving parents; sister, Kim Clowers of Soddy Daisy; and caring stepfather, Lee Hustead of Chattanooga.

Joe is survived by his wife, Beverly DeMary of Ringgold; sisters, Julie DeMary of Chattanooga & Joanne DeMary of Ooltewah; daughters, Amanda (Chris) Songer of Soddy Daisy & Ashley DeMary of Chattanooga; son, Joseph DeMary of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Krisily Songer, Callie Songer, & Colden Songer, all of Soddy Daisy; and nephew AJ DeMary of Ooltewah.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with Chaplain Brian Ceraolo officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.
