John Domenick Stramiello, 94, of Hixson went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 9, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie.

John served in the Army on Okinawa during WWII.  Upon his return, he worked as a master sewing machine mechanic for the Plaid Clothing Company (Palm Beach Company) in Knoxville for 50+ years before retiring.  John loved to garden and was often in the yard with his flowers.

Left behind to cherish his memory are daughters, Deborah (Andy) Makita, Giovanna Stramiello, son, John (Cindy) Stramiello, brother, Tom (Jo) Stramiello, sister, Angela Stramiello, several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Charlie Burton officiating. Interment with military honors  will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In respect for social distancing all services are private with only immediate family present.

Special thanks to the staff of Dominion Assisted Living of Hixson Tapestry Unit, who cared for him these past several months.
