Joanne Bond Phillips, 88, of Hixson, Passed away , July 20,2020.

Joanne was born, February 27, 1932 to Harold M. & Carrie Townsend Bond.

She was born in Dalton, Georgia and graduated from Dalton High School in 1949.  She attended college in Florence, Alabama, and Chattanooga, Tennessee and lived in Chattanooga most of her life.  She worked for Provident, taught at Kirkman and spent several years in offices at Oxford Graduate School in Dayton,Tennessee.

She is survived by three children, Virginia (Mike) Foley, Bryan (Julia) Phillips and Charles (Dawn) Phillips.

She is also survived and missed by grandchildren, Carrie (Chris) Sutton, Kathryn ((John) Nelson,  Megan (Jay) Jones,  Samantha (Nichole) Phillips-Higgins, Claire (Josh) Novak, Alana Zoanni,Benjamin (Courtney) Phillips, Mace (Leda) Phillips, Samuel Phillips, Conner (Kayla) Phillips, Sterling Phillips and ten great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Chattanooga Public Library or Room in the Inn.
