Jimmy L. Hudson of Hixson went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of the Red Bank and Hixson area. His family is so very grateful to God for a husband and father whose life truly honored his personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jimmy was an ordained Deacon, and a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy for five years during the Cuba crisis and the Vietnam war aboard three different aircraft carriers. Jimmy was a retired supervisor from Rayonier with 39 years of service.

He was proceeded in death by his father, L. Pat Hudson and his mother, Opal Hudson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Vivian Moon Hudson and his son, Scott (Melanie) Hudson of Wetumpka Alabama and three wonderful grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, September 5th, 2025 at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30pm with the Reverend Bill Harvey of Red Bank Baptist Church officiating.
