Jean Ann Buckner, 76, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord on January 4, 2021. She was a loving mother and a caring "Nana".

Jean was born on March 22, 1944 in Pelham, Tennessee to the late Tom and Vergie Gallagher.

She was a faithful member of Hillside Baptist Church, where she will be sorely missed by her church family and her pastor Steve Cape.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, sister Tommie Cook, brother Wendell Gallagher, and daughter Carrie Hardy.

She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Hopkins and Ashleigh Bethune, Grandchildren Kaitlyn Benson, Samuel Benson, Caleb Lockwood and Alicia Glanzman, Great-Grandchildren Declan and Colton Bethune, Nephew Jerry Cook, Niece Darlene Pardue, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2021 with Pastor Steve Cape Officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7 ^th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Hamilton Funeral Home, 4506 Hixson Pike.

The family respectfully requests that social distancing, wearing masks at all times, and all other CDC measures be followed at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at CHI Memorial Hospital for their care of Jean in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Baptist Church, 6311 Dayton Blvd, Hixson, TN 37343.
