James Ewin Vaughn, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully at a local hospital on Monday, August 17, 2020.

He worked at DuPont for more than thirty years and enjoyed a retirement that lasted even longer.  Throughout his life he was blessed with many friendships and was loved by everyone he met.  He was a loving husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and a beloved father figure to far too many to count.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, beloved wife Rana Rogers Vaughn, son, James G. Vaughn and multiple siblings.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri (Bobby) Brown; son, Roger (Melissa) Vaughn, adopted daughter, Beth Cleary; grandson, Casey (Carolyn) Stamey; great-granddaughter, Rayna Stamey; sisters, Nadine (Ronnie) Nichols and Sheila Dalton.

Due to Covid, a private graveside service will be held for the family.

There will be no public visitation.

The family will have a celebration of life for friends and family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
