James Ray Boren, 82, passed away August 31, 2023. He was known for his humor and a resident of Summit View assisted living. James attended Ringgold High School and had many churches he loved attended last of which was First Calvary Baptist Church.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Kathrine (Whisnett) Boren and parents, Everett Monroe Boren and Charlsie Marie (Johnson) Boren.

Survivors include his son, Samuel Boren, brothers, Ronald (Ruby) Boren, Larry (Susan) Boren, sister, Diane (Doug) Patton, several nieces and nephews, his friend Diane Sexton and many more.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm with private burial. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Calvary Baptist Church 300 Bell Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37405.
