The heart of our family, Hazel Huff Chauncey, age 90 of Red Bank, passed peacefully on October 21, 2026, in her home. She was born and raised by Horace and Mamie Davis Huff in the Watering Trough /Kingspoint Community in East Chattanooga. She was a proud 1955 Graduate of Tyner High School. She found joy in simple things such as family dinners, playing Rook with her grandchildren, watching her girls play softball, following her grandchildren in their sports, holidays together, watching the Atlanta Braves and shopping with her daughters. She was a long-time member of Alpine Baptist Church and a member of Hixson First Baptist Church for 26 years.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Mamie Davis Huff; her siblings, Ollen Huff, Velma Johnston, Oneita Overdear, Wanda Weaver and Jim Huff; nephews Billy Johnston and Scott Williams; and niece, Debbie Nix.
