Gerald " Wayne" Garrett, 75, of Chattanooga, TN went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Wayne retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years of service. He served as a Deacon of Stuart Heights Baptist Church. Wayne's favorite Bible verse was Acts 4:12

He was preceded in death by his father, Odie Garrett, mother Mamie Irene Garrett, and sister's, Eva June Weatherford, & Mary Catherine Garrett; great grandson, Madyx Shane Hale.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carolyn "Cindy" Brown Garrett; daughters, Monica & Michael Jones, Vickie & Eric Holloway; Granddaughters, Brittany & Brandon Hale and Taylor & Brice. His pride and joy Great Grandson Masyn Wayne & Greyson Avery Hale; sister, Patricia & Billy Lyons; Brother, James Lee Garrett, Brother in Law, Robert Weatherford and several  nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stuart Heights Baptist Church, 3208 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37405.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Richard Floyd officiating.
