Florence Schoonard, 96, of Hixson, TN, peacefully passed away on June 21, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.

Florence Schoonard was born on April 7, 1925 to William and Ida Tinney in the township of Dover Chatham Ontario, Canada. Florence was blessed to be adopted by two wonderful parents Louis and Jeannie Braumwalter.

Florence graduated 1943 from Western High School in Detroit, MI.

In 1950, she met Al, the love of her life, in Detroit, Michigan. They were married six months later and she was blessed with a set of bonus twins Jeffery and Jeanette. Al and Florence moved to California in 1951 and continued to grow their family adding Glen and Bonnie Jean.

Florence was a realtor for over 40 years. She retired in 2014 and made a move to Chattanooga, Tn. She loved to travel with family and friends, sew, cook, and entertain her loved ones.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Tinney; nine siblings; adoptive parents;  Louis and Jeannie Braumwalter, her husband, Al Schoonard; daughter n law, June Schoonard; son n law, Boyd Smith; grandson, Elliot Schoonard.

She is survived by her four children, Jeff Schoonard (Carol), Jeanette Smith, Glen Schoonard, Bonnie Jean Lindon(Michael), 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Celebration of Life service will be held August 29th 5PM at Living Faith Church 5755 Cassandra Smith Rd Hixson, TN 37343.
