Era Faye Poole, 94 of Hixson, formerly of Graysville, TN, died on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

She was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Sam and Gertie Shipley Massengill.  On May 17, 1947, she married Arthur Ed Poole and they spent 60 wonderful years together until his death in 2007.  She was a former employee of Kaiser-Roth Hosiery Mill in Dayton, TN.  Faye was a 51 year member of the Graysville United Methodist Church in Graysville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Eloise Poole and her siblings, Vera Mae, Louise, Ruby, Perry, Jimmy and Harry.

Survivors include her daughter, Freda Marie Gentry, Hixson, TN; grandson, Dean (Lisa) Gentry, Ringgold, GA; great-grandchildren, Zach and Hannah (Austin) Gilkey, Soddy-Daisy, TN; great-grandchildren, Ava and Cohen Gilkey; sister, Peggy Curvin, Dayton, TN; brother, Eddie (Gaynell) Massengill, Guntersville, AL; numerous other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 at Rhea Memory Gardens, Dayton, TN with Rev. Archie Poole officiating.
