Edward "Ed" Rogers' Obituary
Edward (Ed) Rogers of Hixson, 94, entered the gates of Heaven March 21. Born in Alabama, he served in the US Army during WW2. He married Ellen Hyde and moved to Chattanooga in1950 to work for DuPont and retired in 1983.
He leaves behind daughters Linda (Bill) Harding of Highpoint, NC, Sandy (Bryan) Jones of Hixson, and son Tommy (Cindy) Rogers of Pelham, AL, grandsons Brian (Beth) Simpson, Scott Simpson, and great grandchildren Kayleigh and Sydnie.
He was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be March 28 at National Cemetery at 1:30 with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Middle Cross Baptist Church would be appreciated.
