Dylan McBrien died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in Mobile, AL. He was 17 years old.
Dylan was born on August 2, 2004, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is survived by his parents Michelle and Matthew McBrien, his two older brothers Mathew and Derrek McBrien (Mobile, AL), Paternal Grandfather, Delbert McBrien (Chattanooga, TN), Maternal Grandmother Denise Durham (Jeff) (Soddy Daisy, TN), Uncle Brian Campbell (Joccelyn) (Franklinton, NC) along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his "Granpa", Glen "Sparky" Campbell, Grandmother Betty McBrien, Great Grandparents Andy and Margaret Cranfield and Robert and Margaret McBrien.
At an early age, Dylan developed a love for all things Lego, video games, traveling, food, the water, and fishing. When he was not fishing or traveling, he spent his time researching and finding new places to fish and new lures to try.
He loved LSU Football and was an avid fan. A very exciting memory for Dylan was meeting Coach O one day at a carwash in Mandeville, LA where he had his picture made with him and got his autograph . That day was only recently topped where he was able to catch his prized Sheepshead and Redfish on Dauphin Island, AL.
He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and during his 17 years lived in Miami, Florida, Central and Southern California, Mandeville, Louisiana; and Mobile, Alabama. Dylan loved to travel, and he loved the water.
Dylan was keenly interested in the world around him and had recently developed a passion for welding and was thriving in welding school. He hoped to travel extensively for fishing, a welding career and to sample the local foods of the area. He won't have that chance, but he would have wanted others to have that opportunity. He will be missed so very much by us all.
The Family asks that anyone who wishes to make a gesture can donate to the CCA (Costal Conservation Association) or The Epilepsy Foundation in his honor, in lieu of flowers.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 4:00PM-7:00PM in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Hamilton Funeral Home on Hixson Pike.
A separate remembrance will be on Dauphin Island, Alabama, one of his favorite fishing places, at a later date.
