Doris J. Price (Davis), age 74, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 11, 2026, surrounded by many loved ones. Doris was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in April 2026 and faced her illness with all her grit.

Known by many as "Mammy," a name she treasured. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen and deeply loved. Her greatest joy was loving others and providing snacks. Her greatest legacy was the countless lives she touched.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, John Price Jr.; her children, Zeda Price, John Price III, and Peyton Newman; seven cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Ryleigh, Kaylee, Anora, Tallan, Hudson, and Wyatt. Along with four loved siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Nellie Davis, and six siblings.

Visitation will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home 4506 Hixson Pike Hixson, Tennessee, on Thursday, July 16, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday, July 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, followed by interment at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
