Della Mae Tate, 83, a resident of Hixson, TN, passed away February 27, 2024.

She was a past member of Delashment Road Baptist Church. Ms. Tate was a resident of Regency House Assisted Living. She was a very good pianist and played in church most of her life. She enjoyed being with family camping with her late husband, traveling, etc.

Born on October 7, 1940, Della was the daughter to the late Paschal and Mildred Sissom. Della is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Will Tate, siblings, Jack, Paschal Jr., Glenn and Bryan; one sister, Jessie Ruth Hartwell.

Survivors include son, Jeff Tate; daughter, Kim (Allen) Hogan; grandsons, Josh (Carrie) Tate, Justin (Johnna) Tate, Stephen (Jacqueline) Hogan, Matthew Hogan; sisters-in-law, Suetate, Judy Tate Williams, Judy Sissom, Winnie Sissom; brother-in-law, Billy Jones; nine great-grandsons, Zach, Miles, Chase, Hudson, Henry, Hampton, Hatcher, Hayes, Holden.

There will be a graveside service Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00am at Chattanooga National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her late Husband Will Tate.
