Deborah (Debbie) Fugate Borders, age 69, died peacefully in her home on February 11, 2024.

Debbie was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Rossville High School, class of 1973 and a longtime employee of EPB of Chattanooga, retiring in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Billie Fugate, sisters Judy Womack and Jeanne Fugate, and niece Jennifer Fugate.

She is survived by her spouse of 48 years Stephen (Tony) Borders, sons Stephen (Allison) Borders, Joseph (Alisha) Borders, 6 grandchildren: Madison, Trey, Chase, Chloe, Cayden and Hadley and 3 great grandchildren: Bentley, Paisley, Hayes.  Also sister Jackie (Noah) Cureton of Ft. Worth, TX and brother David (Debbie) Fugate of Richmond, KY along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 12-2 at Hamilton Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2:00 in the Chapel.
