Born in Birmingham, Alabama, daughter of Michael Paul and Pearl Moore Hardin on October 2, 1927, died on November 04, 2022.

Predeceased by her parents and siblings, Marianne Hardin and Patricia Hardin.

Survived by sons Carl Eugene Shiles, Jr. (Gene) and his wife, Nancy and Bryan Russell Shiles and his wife, Sarah and 4 grandchildren Carl Brenan Shiles, Kellen Roberts Shiles, Nicholas Edwin Willmer-Shiles and Emma Pearl  Willmer-Shiles.

Dana (Diddy) lived most of her life in Chattanooga. She was a graduate of UTC.  While there she joined Phi Mu Sorority where she made lifelong friends. She was a member of Chattanooga Golf & Country Club for over 50 years where she enjoyed golf, bridge, and friends.

In 1954 she married Carl Eugene Shiles of Daytona Beach, FL. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage before his death in 2019. They travelled extensively, easily, & enthusiastically. They relished seeing new places and meeting new people. But always their greatest joy was their family life with their sons, daughter-in-law, and their grandchildren.

Danna was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
