Christopher T. Howard, 52, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Chris was born on April 28, 1972, and was a lifelong resident of Hixson, TN. Early in his career, he worked as a caddy at the Honors Course, for UPS, and cutting trees for Tree Experts. His true passion and lifelong talent was skilled carpentry. No matter the job or the task, Chris was a hard worker.

He enjoyed sharing stories from his travels to the beach, NASCAR races, Tennessee athletics, and anywhere his kids participated in sports. His collection of ticket stubs dated back to the mid 80's and included many visits to his favorite concert and sports venues with friends and family.
His family and friends brought immense joy to his life. From childhood neighborhood friends to ball field teammates, his friends became family. He would do anything he could to make the people around him smile, and his impressions were among the best. He became like a big brother to so many friends, but his deepest connections were with his siblings, Donny and Kelli. Chris also had a lifelong love for animals, especially his two grand-dogs, Moose and Malaki.

One of Chris's biggest passions was music. He processed life and the world through the lyrics of the songs he loved. You could often find him listening to a wide range of genres, from The Eagles and The Allman Brothers to Ice Cube. His all-time favorite was Lynyrd Skynyrd. Some of his kids' favorite memories are of listening to his vinyl collection—he truly was a "Simple Man."
Chris is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ed and Edna Howard; maternal grandmother, Olga Baughn; and father, Don Howard.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Robin Howard; daughter, Madisen; son, Jordan; mother, Diane; in-laws, Ray (Sandy) Cherry; brother, Donny (Jennifer); sister, Kelli (Craig) Smith; brother-in-law, Aaron (Tanya) Cherry; nephews, Luke and Logan Smith, and Jerath and Braydon Cherry.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 3pm until chapel service time at 6pm at the funeral home. Reverend Jim Evans officiating the service.
