Charlotte Bell
Brooks
Jun 27, 1952 — Jan 2, 2025
Charlotte Bell Brooks went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 2, 2025. She was born in Chattanooga, TN, on June 27, 1952. Charlotte met her future husband, Timothy Hubert Brooks Sr., in the fourth grade at McBrien Elementary School. She later married him and was a devoted wife for fifty-three years. Her other most valued roles were as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Hubert Brooks Sr.; her children, Timothy Hubert Brooks Jr. (Melissa) and Heather Brooks McInteer (Matthew); her grandchildren Timothy Hubert Brooks III (Julianna), Tara Brooks, Brooks McInteer, Cash McInteer, Eleanor McInteer, and Gibbs Brooks; her great-grandchild Adeline Brooks; and her siblings Bob Bell (Carolyn), Janice Moller (Anders), and Joe Bell.
She graduated from East Ridge High School and later worked for the Chattanooga Times Free Press, where her kindness always shone through, whether in a warm greeting or by fulfilling special requests for her customers
Charlotte was feisty yet kind and hardworking, always making time for those who needed her. As a thoughtful lady who led a Christian life, her greatest joy and mission was to love her family. To witness Charlotte shine was to see her fully involved with her loved ones. She consistently made time to listen, attended performances and games, celebrated birthdays and special occasions, and hosted every holiday. If you were wise, you would let her know you were coming by because, with a little notice, there would always be cookies or cake waiting for you. She created a warm and welcoming home, finding her greatest happiness surrounded by her family. Words cannot express how much her loved ones will miss her, but her legacy of a principled and purposeful life, filled with deep love for her family, will live on in them. "What we have enjoyed deeply, we can never lose."
