Charles M. Davis, (91) of Soddy Daisy, TN, beloved father, grandfather entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the love of his life, Wilma D. Davis. They shared 72 years of marriage together.

Born in Postell, TN, he was the son of Paul Sr. and Helen Davis. Charles was a proud veteran of the Army serving as a Corporal in Korea and receiving an Honorable Discharge. He was employed before and after his military service with Combustion Engineering as a Boilermaker for 40 years, retiring in 1990. Charles was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church for the past 25 years. He previously served in other churches as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director and Trustee. Charles enjoyed building, inventing, handiwork and coming up with creative ideas for maintenance solutions. He loved to laugh and had quite the comical personality.

Charles is survived by his wife, Wilma D. Davis, children: Keith Davis (Darlene) of Dunlap, TN, Tammie Davis of Ringgold, GA and Jeff Davis of Soddy-Daisy, TN, and sister, Kay Davis of Clinton Township, MI, grandchildren: Savannah (Reid Gerholdt) Davis and Justin Clayton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Curtis Davis, parents, Paul Sr. (Evelyn) Davis and Helen (Estes) Elliott, brother, Paul Jr. (Bobbie) Davis and sister, Joann Davis.

Visitation will be at Hamilton Funeral Home Tuesday, October 1st from 4pm-7pm and continue Wednesday, October 2nd from 10am until funeral service at 11am in the chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
