Cathy Diane Jacobs, age 70, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Cathy was a loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, known by all who knew her for her kind spirit and gentle heart. Her strength was rooted in her faith and her deep love for family.

She found joy in simple moments: fishing trips with her family, capturing memories through photographs at EVERY opportunity, and spending time with her beloved cat. Cathy was a dedicated bookkeeper and plumbing parts specialist at work, and a loving, supportive mother at home. Her faith was central to her life. She was an active church member for many years, and when disability made attendance difficult, she continued to nurture her faith by devotedly watching as much preaching as possible on television.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Rick Jacobs; her son, Rich Jacobs; and her cherished granddaughter, Felicity Jacobs. She is also survived by her siblings: Albeon Sharp, Annette Ruta, Danny Sharp, and Jason Sharp, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talaska Jane "Polly" Sharp and Carl A. Sharp.

A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson, Tennessee, on January 3rd. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Cathy will be remembered for her loving heart, her faith, and the steady presence she was to those she loved. Her memory lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343, (423) 531-3975.
