Carolyn Rose Rankin born in Chattanooga 25 July 1946, beloved daughter of Arthur Lee Rankin Jr & Nellie Mae Welmers Rankin, passed away peacefully on 20 April 2023 after a brief illness.

Carolyn was a special lady who was autistic and epileptic with a profound mental disability as the result of a devastating illness before her first birthday. She lived most of her life in Greene Valley Developmental Center (Greeneville, TN) and Open Arms Care (Ooltewah, TN) where she flourished under their love and care. She loved listening to music and going for walks & drives in the country.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sisters Julie Rankin Adams (Charlie) of Atlanta and Marea "Mia" Rankin of Signal Mtn and brother Arthur L Rankin III (Debbie) of Brentwood, plus nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Her deep & gentle soul will be missed.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. (noon), with Rev Dr. Tony Wilson of White Oak Baptist Church officiating.
