Carolyn Jackson passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Louise Henry and her sister Doris Singleton.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Hillman (Bill), her sisters Dale Russell and Lee Vern Miller (Glenn) as well as a niece and several nephews.

Carolyn was a long-time resident of Lookout Valley.  She was a Kindergarten volunteer at John A. Patton Elementary and also worked at several pre-schools throughout her lifetime, including the Head Start Program and Siskin Children's Institute.  After retirement, she volunteered with the Foster Grandparent Program.

Her most important job was that of a Mother.  Carolyn loved her daughter tremendously and was an active leader in her daughter's life.  Her daughter is forever blessed and thankful that Carolyn is her Mother.

Carolyn was also loved by many for her wit and charm.  She cared for many friends and stray animals that graced her doorstep over her lifetime.   She had a big heart and big spirit for such a little lady.  She will be greatly missed.

Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at McNabb Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Martin Boyd Christian Home for the Aged for their love and care over the last few years of her life as well as Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and care in her final days.  In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to both organizations.
