Carolyn Jane Heustess, 95, passed away April 30, 2026. She was born August 8th, 1930, to the late Claude and Margarett Young in Ironton, OH.

Carolyn was smart, funny, independent and very headstrong. She was always loving and generous, adored animals, and the great outdoors – especially National Parks. Carolyn completed her bachelor's at Miami University in Ohio. She was a teacher for many years, until owning her own real estate company, Chattanooga Reality INC. Carolyn one day told her son for her obituary to just put "if you knew me, you knew all about me, and if you did not, then you did not care". So short and sweet seemed the best fit for her.

She is survived by her only son, Kent Davis Heustess.

Mrs. Carolyn will be laid to rest with her late husband, Dr. James Henry Heustess at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
