Carolyn (June) Tate Colbaugh passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

A native of Sequatchie Valley, she had lived in Hamilton County since 1952.

A graduate of Sequatchie High and attended McKenzie College night school. She worked for Provident Insurance Company, Volunteer Insurance, Doctors office, Legal Secretary for 10 years and retired from the banking industry after 23 ½ years.

She was active in all sports during school, loved water skiing, and won a trophy for a 40-mile ski race. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their younger years. She loved people and enjoyed cooking for family and many friends.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Decatur, TN but attended Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, TN for many years. She and husband Wayne participated in the Youth at Bayside in their younger years.

She was preceded in death by parents, Dillard & Carrie Tate; brothers, Theodore & Rufus Tate, G.C. Condra; sisters, Iva Jean (Tate) Layne, Ella (Tate) Chapman, Fannie (Tate) Hickey, Velma (Tate) Thomas, Kathleen & Ava Lee Condra; three loving pets Chipper, Richey, and Collee.

Survivors include her loving husband, Donald (Wayne) Colbaugh of 57 years (married December 18, 1965); several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Chad Chandler officiating.

Mrs.Colbaugh will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery in Decatur, Tennessee on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
