Andrew "Buddy" Scallia, 84, of Hixson, TN passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, in the arms of his wife at their home.

Buddy was known for his strong faith in God, his gift of gab and his love of people!  Buddy's greatest joy was encouraging others.  He used his family business (Buddy's Shoe Repair) as a platform to tell others about Jesus and to spread God's love.  He would tell everyone "we can save your "sole" and "heel" you and keep you "heeled" - using this tag line to bring his faith into his line of work.  Buddy's words of faith were displayed daily on his business sign, giving encouragement and hope to all who passed by.  The most adored sign of all hung over the entrance to his business.... "This Italian Cobbler has a Peach of a Wife".

Buddy leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Barbara Scallia; his daughters, Andrea (Don) Meeks, Tonja Scallia; son, Michael (Flower) Scallia; sister, Diana Cunningham.  He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

"I have fought the good fight.  I have finished the race.  I have kept the faith."  2 Timothy 4:7
